A great day with Rose

My dog, Rose and me were having a great day.

Our neighbor, Uncle Ben is blind, but very nice to me. He always help and play with me when we meet together.

This morning, Uncle Ben’s wife, Ms. Susie called us. On the phone, Ms. Susie said that she was out of town for a conference. Uncle Ben needs to go shopping grocery by himself. So she asked us to help him.

I looked at Rose, and found that maybe Rose can help lead Uncle Ben to the grocery store, so I said yes to help Uncle Ben. After hanging up the phone, I turned around and told Rose, “Hi , Rose. Today we will need you to help Uncle Ben to the close Kroger, can you make it ?” Rose is so exciting and can’t stop jumping. She said, “Yes, I can.”

Then, I sent Rose to Uncle Ben’s house. Uncle Ben opened the door for us with a big smile he always have on his face. I told Uncle Ben,” Uncle Ben, Ms. Susie called us to come to help you go to Kroger shop grocery. Are you ready to come with us?” Rose just jumped around us,”Yes! Yes!” Uncle Ben happily said,” Yes, Ella. Thank you for coming to help me. Rose as well.” He bent his knee and patted Rose gently.

We headed for Kroger together. We were talking and laughing all the way. So we got Kroger real fast with Rose’s guiding. She is really a very good direction guider as I know.

In the store, Rose lead Uncle Ben to different aisles for everything he needs. She is really helpful. After Uncle Ben got everything, we went to check out. When he was going to pay for it, he found he lost his wallet unfortunately.

Uncle Ben was so worried, Rose just stood up and said,” I can help, I can look for Uncle Ben’s wallet by walking back our way from home. Let me go back to check.”

So I stayed at Kroger and waited with Uncle Ben, Rose ran out to help find Uncle Ben’s wallet. Just around 10 mins, we saw Rose running to us fast with a wallet in her mouth, she looks so brave and confident. She did it. She helped Uncle Ben find his wallet. 

I ran to Rose and gave her a huge hug, “ Rose , awesome job, I am so proud of you! Thank you for your help!” Uncle Ben was so pleased too.

Finally, Uncle Ben checked out and we went home together. 

As a thank you gift, Uncle Ben invited us to eat our favorite ice cream at his house. We both got our best flavor -chocolate vanilla. After that, Uncle Ben played games and told story with Rose and me. 

Oh, what a great day for us. It is one of the best adventure day in my life with my sweet friend, Rose.
