- Write down: (1) where the viewer is and (2) where the main character is. If the main character is the viewer, write that down, too.
- Choose one to paragraph to draw everything that is described in the paragraph. Remember to use what you’ve learned with atmospheric perspective. Color if you have time.

1) the viewer is the writer and he or she viewed from inside the room; 2) the main character is the girl who was reading a book. The main character is not the viewer.
Paragraph 1: Margaret is both the main character and the viewer.
Paragraph 2: The viewer is probably the person in the dark room.
Paragraph 2: The main character is the girl who is sitting under a maple tree.
